October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to raise awareness about the impact of breast cancer.

According to the American Cancer Society, more than 310,000 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer and an estimated 42,250 will die of the disease in 2024. An estimated 2,800 men are expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer and 530 will die of the disease as of 2024. Breast cancer is the most common type of non-skin cancer in women in the United States, accounting for 15 percent of all new cases. And it is second to lung cancer as a cause of cancer death in American women.

There are many ways in which you can lend your talents to support lifesaving research. Learn how you can become an advocate for cancer research, participate in events to raise awareness, volunteer your time, and share your story of how cancer has affected your life.

Together let's use our voices, passions, and resources to help reach every woman and make sure she has access to the screenings, support, and care she deserves.
